The Road We Walk

It has been a very exciting past few months that has kept me away from this blog. Seldom now do I have time to think much less put those thoughts into words. Looking back I am grateful to have been given the chance to make the changes that needed to happen in my life. More and more of late, however I see new changes that are slowly begging for more attention. We allow ourselves to believe that we can settle down and ease into life. I think its belief that though easy and comfortable is an invalid thing. I have always felt that we are on this earth to learn to grow and to experience. It feels wrong. . . it tastes a lie to say that it is ok to just .. . be. There is more to life. I know this! I feel it so deeply in my soul. I know no one is perfect and myself least of all but to strive to be better!  Always better. Stronger, faster, healthier, better in the body. Smarter, more resilient, more patient, less quick to anger,   Better in the mind,  and the soul ever soaking all this in for use in the next existance.   The body will fail, the mind will falter but the emense computer that is our soul will store it all.  Every triumph, every tragedy,  all pleasure,  all pain, all aspects of our mortal existance being saved and processed and made for eternal use.   I believe that if we fill our soul with the right kind of food it will foster within traits and tools we can use later.   To this end I feel strongly the need to stay on the path of chivalry and honor  I began in the years past.  To ignore pain and push through bitterness and take on the armor of faith and longsuffering and wisdom.

My friends and family it is true as many of you know and more suspect  there were times in my life  when I was consumed with darkness,  I lusted  and I thurst for  more lust and violence and blood and pain and pure unadulterated hatred of my fellow man.  Many years deep in my own thoughts filling my soul with evil and bitterness doing all kinds of things of which I am not proud.  But while I am not proud  I also do not regret.  To regret would to say there was nothing to learn I am instead grateful to our Lord that he allowed me to live despite it all and to grow and to grow up and quite frankly to learn the hard way.  I look back and don't even recognize that person.  It goes so against who I am now and what I strive to become that it is as if in my memories I am looking through someone elses eyes.  I am grateful I never did something in all that hate that would have been unreconcilable.  . . . none of us have the right to look down on others for their choices.   We can only hope and pray that they learn from them before they do something from which they cannot return.

The eternal future is before me opened wide and I begin to see that my choices must be made with that future in mind.  Long term goals deferring gratification and pleasure  in exchange for happiness and joy of soul.    Patience  for those who are on the road we all walk.  Too long have I hid in shadows and behind the blanket of annominity.  I prefer the light of day and to be recognized as an honorable man.  To stand with my shoulders wide and to glow from within with an inner strength. Too long have I slumped my shoulders either in fear or in bitterness with no inner strength and no inner fire.    This is the goal that begs attention.       To be boldy honest and forthright, with no fear because I have nothing to hide anymore and no more secrets worth keeping.

Clifford Elton O'Dell Sr.. . A Rememberance.

As many already know  my grandfather Clifford O'Dell Sr  Passed away this past Friday.  He is in many of our thoughts, memories over these past few days and  I feel the need to share some of these thoughts with you.

Many can and perhaps may  say some things negative about the later years of this 95 year old paternal federal head of a very large family.  Some of these things may be true,  But why?   I prefer to focus on  the so many great things I can remember of my grandfather.  In truth  the vast majority of my happy memories  of my childhood are of my grandfather. I remember  him in his workshop.  Always  always in his workshop,  and he was ever so generous  with his tools and his equipment.  In those days it seemed like a problem was  more of an opportunity  then a calamity.  Whenever he had a problem he almost smiled  because that meant  he could go into the shop and figure out  a solution.   And solutions were found.  Everything from a broken plow  to a tractor that didn't start  as reliably as desired grandpa would ponder it out  and  in many cases  make something.   It was this that inspired in me a love of crafting and creating.   Grinding, fixing,  drilling, cutting,  sometimes wood but most often metal  Many many afternoons spent  making things work and after they got working  making them work better.   Everything from garden tools  to knives to pots and pans.   He would apply that same  relentless optimism  to his garden.   No matter what failures happened one year  he would take some small knowledge from the attempt and use it to the eventual success  later.  It seemed  that between them  grandpa and grandma  could grow anything.

I remember the year we had so many problems with flies and bees.  Did I say problem?   Was it truly a problem?  Nay  as always  it was an opportunity  and  thus  it was not long  before grandpa had developed a solution   and  the bee trap was born.   Ingenious in its design and elegant in its simplicity and it worked  just as desired.

I remember a man of great faith.  Quiet faith  never  pushy  or overbearing   never  in your face with the fake piety  that so many self-righteous Christians have these days.   But he read his bible  every day and worked hard never to judge or malign others.   Can we say the same?  He understood long suffering  and  endurance  and while  I can't say  I remember him being terribly patient  I can say  he had a way of building into each day a small achievement  that could lead  over time to a very big achievement  almost as if  he could see it from the beginning and slowly shaped it into being.

I can remember later  when I entered my profession as a Machinist  often going to grandpas  early in the morning  after work  and chatting with him  about  working in a factory.  I learned so very much about factory life  and about the making of things.  Oh   how  I wish I had a tape recorder so I could share the wealth of wisdom he bestowed upon me.   We had so much in common with that regard.  He was one of the few people I have ever known  that truly understood  the very real rigors of a factory life.  The slow, weary, grinding away,  day after day and endless stream of parts. How to remain fresh and maintain a modicum of sanity with the tedium that is  a machinist's lot.   He was fastidious  everything  had to be "just so"  and  I was one of the few people that understood that this comes from  being a machine operator.   We spend our days scrutinizing hundreds of parts that are meant to be identical  looking for  the one  that is not right  looking for the smallest things.  It breeds a bit of compulsiveness for order and habit.

I will miss you grandpa.  For all the reasons I have written and so many more.   Have fun in that  great big workshop in  heaven and when its my day to join you we can share another cup of coffee and remember the good old factory days.

A Valentines Day Prayer . . .Belated

I have been very busy lately and it has shown itself  in that I haven't had the time to post much here or anywhere . . .  This is a post of a prayer I prayed on Valentines day  I  recently recited this prayer again just because I feel it is that important.  So  forgive me for its lateness...

"Heavenly Father.. .   I have sinned   I have committed . . . (omitted for obvious reasons) . . . Father I am grateful for your matchless grace and its manifest in my life.   I am grateful for my work and my home which you have provided. I am grateful for the opportunity to face this day and for the  health to face it well, and Father I am very grateful for the woman you have brought into my life. She fills my life with joy and wonder and fun and whimsy.   Father Please be with our country  that  our leaders be led to choices that will keep us on the right track for freedom and prosperity. Father I ask also that if it be thy will  that my family be healthy and happy.   Father  I ask  for myself that you help me concentrate and stay consistent  in the learning of your doctrine.  And finally  I ask  father that you help me to be the man for the woman you have graced me.  Help me be strong  of will and spirit  that I can protect and serve her.  Help me be wise and mature of soul  that I can guide and respect her.  Help me to show her I love her and am grateful for her.   For I pray in the name of  your holy and precious son  Jesus Christ  Amen. .

I  post this mostly for my benefit  and as a window into  what I was thinking  on valentines day.  I do not  intend this post  to  be any  instruction on  prayer  or  to make anyone feel any  negative emotions with regard to their prayer life  or lack there of.    That is between  you and  your  soul   and not my place.        So please please take no guilt  or  offense from this post.

Thank you.

I have spent so many nights  wandering the woods.  The night time world  forsaken by those who are afraid of what they do not understand.   Often I encounter  that fear.    Often  this fear is expressed by the person afraid  very viciously.   They do not understand something and afraid to learn or to change their mind they attack  it with name calling and jokes and peer pressure.    Yet  life is a journey, a path of steps and decisions  and encounters.  We all know where we begin  and we all know how the mortal journey ends. So why fear it  or fear anything along the way?   Were I to step outside tonight and wander the woods I may die.  I can minimize this with some precaution  or course  a knife or two and a side arm  just to be safe  for  sure there are creatures out there  that are dangerous.     But why be afraid?   If I were to die tonight my mortal journey ends yes  but it would end my way  on my terms  experiencing all the wonder and diversity and greatness that God has provided for us to explore.
And what of beauty.  It is so much more then the superficial thing in which we seem to place so much value.    I have stared deep into the soul of many a beautiful woman  only to  see  turmoil,  and filth, and the ashes of  virtue that never had a chance to take hold.   That is not beauty,   I have stared into the soul of a new born babe  and seen the promise of the future and the wonder of all the new things they are experiencing.
Is beauty an emotional thing.    The appreciation of it  is most definitely emotionally full filling  but  I believe  it to be an intellectual soulful  thought process that  comes to that appreciation.   To many times we make choices and decisions  based upon our emotions and then have to use our intellect  to dig ourselves out of the problems that decision making process always causes.  Instead  were we to use our minds to think, our eyes to see,  our ears to listen  and make our decisions based upon  that intellect  and then gain the emotional appreciation of a well made choice and a life  more free of the burdens  of  the bad choices.

Certainly I have made more then a few bad choices myself.  Admittedly some of these choices led down paths that taught me many things worth knowing.   But in retrospect I suspect  these things could have been learned with less pain.

So beauty can be found  in many ways and along many paths  we should never be afraid to try and experience it  yet  we should with wisdom make that experience with a sound mind so that we can take in all this universe has for our mortal existence  with out dragging our own baggage on every step of the journey.

Beauty can come when you open your mind to it and  expand your repertoire  to understand. Today you may find a rose to be beautiful   and yet  when you look deeper  you  can see the complexity of just one leaf on that rose and find beauty in the magnificent design that causes that leaf to serve that plant.  Ask the questions  seek the answers. Broaden your scope   from small to large  from one leaf to a whole bush with an entire system of bacteria and insects and  energy transfers.   From roots to flower to seed to roots.

I often find my work to be beautiful.  The precision, the creating of  something both aesthetically and dimensionally perfect  from every chamfer to every diameter.  From the smooth shine of the surface finish to the overall product a study of form and function.

We need to take time to  think and appreciate beauty,  Our lives are far far to short in the mortal span of existence to overlook things or to pass them by from fear.   This does not mean we need to take time away from what we are doing.  Rather we should open our eyes while we are doing it  perhaps that means setting down the smart phone   or  turning down the radio  or  shutting out all the worries in the back of our mind  while we are working  to spend just a little time  appreciating just what we are doing right there in front of us.

Halloween Ghosts Possession . . .Demons

Ok  Tis the season right?   Halloween  ghosts goblins  ghouls all the creepy crawlies that make your skin tingle.   Lately I've been enjoying watching the many new TV shows on the paranormal for a lot of reasons.  For one I had several encounters myself  in  my dark past  and  I  am one of those people  that has to explore the things that scare him  until they no longer scare him.    This has led me on a 10 year journey into what these experiences are.   That leads me to the second reason this journey has led me into the study of the angelic conflict and of demons in particular. So  in this post I want to shed some light into the darkness and put names to the shadows.   The information I am conveying  can be found in evidence throughout history and from the bible  and  from accounts from various missionaries throughout the world.

Since it is Halloween  I am going to focus on  the the most numerous activity and I am going to offer advice somewhat contrary to what you are going to see on these  TV shows.   They are trained scientific professionals and  are unknowingly protected by the "Rules"  to which these creatures are currently contained.

In haunting and in demon possession   there are two main culprits.  Satan's  front line troops, so to speak. They are just two classes of many classes which cover a wide range of human affairs and some of these are also involved in haunting and possessions but they aren't doing the flashy stuff.
The first the OV (transliterated from the Hebrew)  or  the   εγγαστρυμυτηος or (eggastrumuthos in the Greek) demon is the  most common  demon in the fallen angel army   they are voice demons.    They  can manipulate the vocal cords of a possessed person  and produce  language, information,.  They are also the source of all the moans  and whispers and voices   in a haunted house.   They are most notably mentioned in history in possessed persons  as   Mediums, Psychics,  Wizards, Witches, Necromancers,   any  person who says they can  contact the dead.   This is their primary game and  it is often why they haunt houses   to draw in  a new person to inhabit or to play the game of  getting a medium to "cross the spirit over"    but often there is one  OV demon in the medium and another in the house and they are pulling the wool over your eyes  often to the profit of the medium.   They are actually a source of  somewhat reliable information about the past  as  they actually were there to witness it    often  people possessed can recant ancient  long dead languages  and speak about ancient kingdoms with vivid detail .   This  is where scholars believe Homer  got his information for the Iliad and the Odyssey (this goes into other tangents of demonology that I am not going into that right now.)   Historic examples of this demon in action are as follows.

The Witch of Endor   - - -   Saul contacts her to  contact Samuel for advice.   1 Samuel  28:3

The Oracle of Delphi   - - -   often spoken of in most Greek  literature  as a source of  supernatural advice and the will of the gods.

The Egyptian priests of  Sokar, Khentiamentu, and Anubis,  - - - Spoken of in Exodus and  in Egyptian history.

The Possessed Man  in Mark 5:1

To review  this demon is associated with  the vast majority of supernatural and paranormal VOICE  activity.

The second demon I am going to cover  is the Puppeteer demon . . . not named specifically  in scripture as it is less pervasive and less dangerous to the will of man and to history.   The Puppeteer  demon is the creature associated with  moving people and things..   In a possessed individual  this is the demon that will move the persons arms legs  move him around  lift them off the ground. grant the possessed person abnormal strength and speed.     Also called the Telekinesis Demon  they are the ones responsible  for  opening and closing doors. .  footsteps ,  throwing  things   levitating  people or objects.   All things being moved  are  part of this  demons  stock in trade.

Examples of this demon  are as follows.
The demons messing with the bones of  Moses.- - -in the book of Jude  there is an account  of the Archangel Gabriel being sent to take the bones of  Moses and to rebuke the demons messing with them

The possessed Man in Mark 5:1 the account of the man says that he could not be contained  (possessing abnormal strength.)

So  if  you encounter these  activities   you now know what is doing them.     All  classes of demon  (and angels for that matter) are called  Nagash  (transliterated from the Hebrew)   which means Light bodies  or Stars.    Both classes are capable of  making shadows  and manipulating light. though I suspect  the Puppeteer demon does this the most.   So shadow figures, apparitions, ghosts. mists,   this is the activity  to which I'm referring.

Now  that you have this information what do you do with it . . . . This is where I diverge from  the popular TV shows.   These demons  DO NOT have to muster up energy to make things happen. .  They are playing with the investigator  as far and  as much as they can.   They   Don't want the general public to get to much information from them  it dilutes the effect and takes away from the fear factor.   THESE ARE VERY POWERFUL BEINGS.     Do not  interact with them.  Do Not engage in conversation with them.  This is what they want  they are waiting for a stoned  or  weak willed individual   to get in a conversation and entice into possession  this is their main game.      This is very important   if you attract their attention  they can follow you   if you antagonize them  and you are a christian  they can  petition to God to hurt or Kill you  if  you  have sin in your life and are  under discipline.   King David  prayed  to God   and asked God to not let Satan have him. .  The book of Job is all about  Satan petitioning  God to hurt a human.  So they can hurt you  They can Kill you.   Do Not  go looking for trouble, don't  get on their radar.    This is the best advice I can give. Also  although it is their main trick and act  these spirits are not the restless dead  nor are they from "The Other Side"   there is no other side  these beings exist in our reality  just like we do  they just do so  out of our visible range.  Only God can resurrect  or  bring the dead  back to the material world   demons do not have that power though they try to mimic it every chance they get.

Now  having said this  there are occasions when you have no choice  but to interact with these creatures. .   You buy a home  that's haunted. . . You come across a gathering in the woods and one or more of the people is Possessed.    You come across a car accident and  the accident victim appears to be possessed (if not  under the influence)      What do you do in this situation.   Here is the information from the bible and from first hand accounts from missionary's  I know and have read about.

Step one . . . Step away  and take a breath.     Pray to the Father and confess any and all known sins in your life    this is very important never  ever EVER confront a demon with sin in your life.   Use 1 John 1:9 and confess your sins   get  in fellowship.

Step two  . . .. in prayer silently to the Father  claim one of the promises of God in the scripture that allows you to exorcise demons.  Luke 9:1, Matthew 10:1  Mark 16:17 Acts 16:18  and 19:12-13  pray for courage.  The instant you claim one of these promises  a battalion of guardian angels was dispatched to your location and  they and the power of Christ as sovereign of the universe  is going to be doing this work not you  you are just a vessel for that power and a witness and testimony to any bystanders.   Always approach this from humility arrogance or self righteousness in this situation  will get you killed.

Step three . . . Approach the person or enter the building. .   Be bold  Fear is a sin and it is also going to make you freeze when you need to fight.    Also if there are bystanders  your boldness will be a testament and a witness unto them that  the power of your God is mightier then theirs.   Be Bold but be Humble  your confidence is in the Lord   not in yourself.

Step four . . .. . Claim the promise  out loud  Say something to effect of "Lord  you have promised that in your name we may expel or exorcise demons.    You can quote a verse  whatever  you think you need to help you build courage and   this time you are being a testimony  to all of the Angelic community which will be watching  this confrontation with interest.  Your claiming doctrine  out loud  will be a victory cheered by angels and a defeat  scorned by fallen angels.

Step five  . . . . Issue  the command  quoted by Paul in Acts 16:18  or a paraphrase that fits the situation  (IE I command you Demon (or demons)  In the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST  to leave  the  person or the  building. . . .

That's it  no  hocus pocus   in fact you probably wont see or hear anything  at all  no  rituals  and DEFINITELY NO MEDIUMS

now   there are rules here that apply .

rule 1.   demons must obey a command issued in the Lords Name and guardian angels can enforce this command but only if the done while in fellowship utilizing the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
rule 2.   Free will is the issue  . ..  if  the person you have exorcised  chooses to be repossessed    there is nothing you can do about it.   Also  if the house you have dispossessed  is inhabited by people who are doing activities that draw demons   (drug use, occult activities etc etc . )  the  building may become haunted again
rule 3.   Demons  can  petition against you if you become to much of a thorn in their side  and  if you have alot of sin in your life  so don't go making it a habit  of  exorcising  buildings or people for fun.  Stay out of their radar.

I may  edit  add and change  sections of this post  in the future to apply to experiences I have had or will have and as I work further on the subject.

If  you do not feel safe exorcising your home  yet still want it done  find someone with alot of doctrine under their belt.    Preachers,  Seminary professors,   Theologians .    Don't seek help from a medium  or a psychic.

You can go to one of these paranormal  investigation teams throughout the country to confirm or investigate your  house.  I  think what they are doing is very good   it  is helping to dilute the effect  and it is providing data for the study of fallen angels and  they are willing to risk their lives so  by all means  take advantage.  But take their advice with a grain of salt  they  are researchers trying to understand spiritual phenomena not  spiritual men who want to free you of the evil influence.

Also   if you wish to keep prying demon eyes from your house and  keep demons from the premises. The very best thing is the reading of the bible out loud.    Psalms is very good  Read allowed  your devotional from Psalms  when you  do it . . . Reading of Doctrine  is very annoying to demons.  It is like hearing a lecture from a parent about what you did bad after you did it  and they told you not to. .   It is also like nails on a chalkboard to them.    Also almost as an afterthought and I now realize that it should have been mentioned first or  relatively early.  A christian believer in the Lord Jesus Christ  CANNOT  be demon possessed  they can be  demon influenced but  not possessed.

Scripture, Canon, Word . . . .λόγος,

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος,   The hinging phrase of the bible.  The key to  truth and success in your christian life.    It is John 1:1  in the original Konia Greek  it is pronounced  En archai an ho Logos .    I like Dr. Theme's translation  "In the beginning which was not the beginning there eternally existed  the Word.    Now scholars will tell you  and its is a proven fact that when the word "λόγος,"  or Word  is capitalized  it means our Lord Jesus Christ.    So Logos  and Jesus Christ  is synonymous  this key  phrase  cracks open a lot of doctrines to our understanding .     First that the Deity of Christ eternally existed as a member of the Triune Godhead  back before the creation of everything..  Second  that the bible that we call scripture  is the Word  and  the mind of Christ  or  the Word of Christ.  Why is this the key to success in your spiritual life.   Well   lets analyze   . . does it say   "There existed dance?  . . . .no . . . how about "There existed looking down your nose at people?"    no    hey how about  "There existed  an ecstatic experience?     nope  . . . it says  "there eternally existed the WORD.     The scripture  or  The author of scripture.
Yet  in this world  we live  I see and walk  amongst so many that swear  they LOVE JESUS   and yet  spend no time learning  doctrine   no time caring about his words   no time  in bible study.   They dance and sing and  raise their hands in the air  and  work up a real good  emotional  "Spiritual"  experience.
You know  I was once  all messed up  in the occult. Do you know what they did  oh  its  rich . .  all the sabbats  all the rituals  all the devils masses   the main focus  was dancing  and singing and working up a real good  emotional   experience. . . . .    and  it was totally  evil . . . . I have seen  it first hand and I swear to you today  that anything the unbeliever  can do   IS NOT  SPIRITUAL!      anything you can copy with drugs  or devices  or  with chanting  or singing or dancing  or sex  or  smoke    is not spiritual   any idiot can do those things and get a great big glowing feeling.
Where am i going with this. . . . it is simple   If you Love Jesus   you Love his WORD.   even and especially when it makes you  think or touches on your  "Issues".    You love your parents  even  and especially when they reprove and correct you   (or you should unless you are an idiot)  because you know that they are doing this  because they love you and want you to learn.    The principle is the same.     God wants us to learn  and he has provided us with all the growing up lectures we need  in his scripture.    It is your sword and your shield  and every piece of armor you could possibly need to face the world and all its problems.
There are more then 7000 promises  in the bible. .   Isaiah 41:10,  Romans 8:28,  1st Peter 5:7  Psalm 104.   there are limitless  promises  like the one given to Abraham . .  I am your Shield and your Increasing Great Reward.     and there is  a mountain of information on how to live a life  wisely   not just  self righteously   not  fake  not   walking around with your head in the clouds  pretending to be holy .  But real  pragmatic practical  wisdom  so you can put one foot in front of the other  instead of stumbling  every chance you get.
Am I saying  I am better then you because I know this . .. .  NO   because as anyone will tell you  I have alot to learn and there's many times when life  knocks me on my  rear end.    But I know where to look!!!! And  I wish to share because  I love you.       Love God . . . Love God's Word!!!    Be  wise   don't just fake it!
Because when you fake it . . . lets be honest   you are only fooling yourself  everyone else knows you are phony!

Chivalry is not Dead

Chivalry is not dead. Chivalry is an idea moreover an ideal and an ideal cannot die. At the time when knighthood and chivalry was at its height great men with self discipline and honor walked the earth.   There have been many such times. .  Times when  great nations were peopled with great individuals who worked toward ideals and served others more then self.    The time of knights was a time when British men of genius were working to translate the bible into the language of the day  from the Latin.  It was not a perfect process but it was a very good goal.   Men and women were being taught doctrine basic doctrines yes but doctrine nonetheless  and they were finding happiness and contentment  and freedom  even within the feudal system which was itself not a perfect process. .     Later  on  great men and women  fought that system  for the ideals of freedom   great thinkers  great warriors   great  individuals with  doctrine and self discipline. The American revolution was a pivotal point in history when such greatness changed the world.   Later still  in world war  II  when evil and its seduction of great power  were threatening to swallow the lands in darkness. Great men  and women of self discipline, doctrine, and honor  rode forth to serve,  to give their lives so that others may live.

Chivalry is not dead.  I hold it in my heart as an ideal.   I  am not one of these great men. . . not yet.  But!  the path is clear    courage.  self discipline   doctrine   honor  virtue  service. . .   these are the tenants that make ordinary men  into knights. . .  into greatness.     Love  of  something more then self.   Any man can join their ranks   no matter what life he has led before.   Have the self discipline  to learn the doctrine to build within the honor and virtue  to choose to serve  and gain greater courage.     Evil hates such self discipline. . .  it works against it  so subtly  with  whispers . . .with enticements against the longings of your lusts.  With those around you always suggesting the easy way out .

Chivalry is not without its draw backs .   It does not mean  celibacy  which is a comfort  hehe  but it does mean often doing the right thing for the right reasons  when everyone around you would advice against it. It does mean being singled out amongst men  apart  not better not lesser  but different and there are those who will take advantage  of your kindness and service. . .   This perhaps is the hardest thing for me  personally to bare.   The hardest road I have ever taken  has been with bitterness at my back .  Bitterness at being used and at others who have abused my goodness  and taken advantage of my service.    Learning to love impersonally  even those who have  hurt me so. . . .  that  will be the true test of  what I have learned. . .  if anything.    To forgive and move forward . . .  it is the ideal.

Will I one day don shiny armor  and ride a charger into battle against darkness. . . .   Those days have long since passed.     Today we have better armor forged from the promises in the Word and I think they will serve me much more then the finest steel.  Its a long road involving  physical and mental fitness and training,  emotional toughness, spiritual maturing.   One can assume long hours of exercise and study is a given.  And the rewards  here in the temporal realm?     Not much good,  ridicule, oath breakers, users, manipulators, pettiness.   But  in the eternal realm?  Imagine going into eternity with the wisdom and spiritual armor that such a path might bestow.  And  eventually here in our mortal time those closest to you,  those who know you best and love you most will love you more for they will be blessed by association with you in your growth and they will respect you for the individual you have become.     Well we all hope so anyway.    If they are not all caught up with their own pettiness and jealousy.  I should hope not

Chivalry is Grace in action.    Forbearance,  long suffering,   love, charity,   it is doing the right thing for the right reason no matter what the cost.     I am well pleased that it cannot die.  It is all the good things that we as humans can strive to achieve in ourselves.
